Tathra means "beautiful country," making it the ideal name for the print gallery of Byron Bay artist and photographer Nina Gibbs. Based on Bundjalung Country in Byron Bay, Australia, Nina is known for her work in landscape, fine art, and fashion photography.

"I approach photography as a form of artistic expression, focusing on light, space, and texture to create intimate and evocative images of my subjects."

Nina graduated from The College of Fine Arts in Sydney. She was nominated for an AACTA award for her work in visual effects and has been a filmmaker, animator, and photographer for 15 years.

Nina also spent many years living and working in remote Indigenous communities in the Western Desert, where she mixed paints and translated dreaming stories for The Papunya Tula Artists.
